Developed research is essential as it serves as the foundation for ideation and innovation. We gain a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter by conducting extensive research, whether it is historical contexts, cultural influences, or emerging trends. This wealth of knowledge serves as an expansion and refinement of ideas. It gives us a perspective that extends beyond surface-level aesthetics, allowing them to infuse depth, meaning, and relevance into their work.

The direct gathering of first-hand data is known as primary research, and it is typically carried out via techniques like surveys, interviews, or observational studies. Designers gain direct, unfiltered insights into their chosen topic matter through this practical practice. Conversely, secondary research comprises the examination of pre-existing materials, like books, journals, and databases, in order to obtain data that has already been.

By thoroughly examining and depicting subjects from life, observational drawing helps artists capture details that may be missed in other modes of representation. It guarantees a close relationship between the artist and the subject, encouraging a more authentic expression as the project develops.

I learned about Part 2 and the Fusion project today, along with the idea of the "Rule of 3" for design processes. Primary and secondary research, followed by research development, are the three components of this idea. I'm very happy that I had Dominique as my part 2 tutor once more because I find his style of teaching to be highly efficient as well as concise. I can therefore absorb and learn from him quickly.

To make the little installation, I used my scarf and umbrella, and I bought a lightbulb and some hangers from the store next to our school. Our classroom is likewise fairly compact, which has made it more challenging for me to make use of the space we have and take pictures of my work. Towards the end of the lesson, I felt a bit overloaded. Compared to part one, this is moving at a much faster pace, which stressed me out a little. However, by returning to Moodle after the session and viewing the presentation, I was able to adjust myself and make sense of all the information.
